Catholic's Midfield
|
|
Good, but young. They'll have to carry the load as the Cougars will experience a big drop-off at attack after losing Sawyer, Banick and Italiano. Catholic's success will depend a lot on whether or not Flynn and McDade can develop enough as sophomores to be core offensive players.

Team Charlotte and Carolina

Team Charlotte and Carolina are always consistently good, but you can't really compare last years teams and this years. Given the Senior class that played last summer, their won't be a set of teams like them for awhile

this year are ALL 10th graders; last year majority were 11th graders so obviously they won't be as good. But they played in the same division as team Charlotte last year at Gait cup with 4 heartbreaking one goal losses. Good team that gets better every time they play.

Actually did as well as last years team by reaching the final four at Gait Cup, they lost 10-8 to the Edge Canada as did last years team. Team Carolina RED did very good as well; lost three games by a total of three goals so they were just 6 goals way from the Gait Cup final four-that's pretty darn good if you ask me-very respectable by both teams AND as good as last years team

There is a nice write up on InsideLacrosse.com about the Carolina Colts game against the WA Starz at the Crab Feast tournament in Baltimore. http://insidelacrosse.com/blog/2010/07/04/recruiting-roundup-blc-crab-feast-day-1

Marvin Ridge

Just one good, even great player wont automatically make a team a contender for a championship. I dont know if Marvin Ridge will actually be as I dont know how many seniors they lost etc., but just the addition of one player will not make them a great team

Will need 5 AA's from NY to transfer to win the states. At least 5, they have NO ONE

NY AA
|

I think you have to keep in mind that the level of lacrosse in New York is a little different than it is in North Carolina. While there are some very good players in this state, I wouldn't be surprised if none of them were All-Americans if they played in New York.

Just looked at the AA team for 2010 and Bobby Jenkins is on there. Check again brother. I've seen this kid play. He is the real deal. Marvin Ridge may be a contender next year.

I think there are tournaments that are up to 19. You can be graduated from high school and play in these tournaments.

Just so you know

The tournaments are set up as U-19, U-17 etc. The Colts, who are 20 2013 and 3 2014, played in a U-19 tournament in Denver. They faced one team out of British Columbia that had 7 graduated players. The Colts went 3-3 in Denver. Team Charlotte is all 2012 with 3 2013 players. If you would like a media guide that includes all 4 teams and their graduation year go to http://www.teamcharlottelax.com/documents/SWU2010mediaguide.pdf.
