the only good team on there schedule last year was myers park so you couldnt really tell if they did good last year.

You have a point. But I did say Lake Norman not Myers Park. Seeing as they had a good team last year and lost NO players. I would probably put them at number 1.

Next Years teams

Gang....I'm telling you do not count out the Mustangs......half of them are coming back and some very good JV guys coming up. Pontiakas as a senior at face off is a pretty strong start. Both Foley's at attack.....Musser and Barnes on D. Ain't a bad start.

Interestingly, the three teams you would think to be the best of those six (CC, PHS, MP) all graduated large and productive senior classes. Those three teams will have plenty of new faces next Spring. Meanwhile, AK, Lake Norman and Weddington all return most of their top players. I think CC and PHS reestablish themselves as the top 2 simply due to depth of talent and athleticism, but there won't be much of a gap between the number 1 and number 6 teams.

During the season when parents get on the website to congratulate their kids for playing hard or being team players. I mean we're not six, whenever I see a parnet do this it makes me think the team is a bunch of pansies who need mommy and daddy to boost their confidence.

All-Observer Team

Thank you, Charlotte Observer, for taking the time to name an All-Observer lacrosse team. May not seem like a big deal to some, but believe me, it is a big deal to have the local paper covering lacrosse like this. This is a big part of how the sport grows and gains recognition, which ultimately leads to greater opportunities for our players.

The forum has become a combination of the Great Gatsby and the View. you have old lax programs not acknowledging the success of the new good lax programs. then you have the peanut gallery where some parent who for all intensive purposes knows just as much about the sport as Barbra Walters makes a comment that is outlandish and childish, then we all get to argue about it.

It has been fun to watch the public's beat each other up all year and pound their chests. Have you ever noticed how there are rarely posts from the private schools? Perhaps they are too busy studying or maybe they don't need to talk about playing....they just do it! As a great post from a few months ago said; "act like you've been there before!"
